Last week a woman reported that her vehicle was struck by gunfire along 1-94 around the same time as three other shootings happened on Thursday, Dec. 7 happened.

Mlive.com has reported that...

"The Michigan State Police reported that detectives were interviewing a Southfield woman who said her vehicle was struck near I-94 and French Road. MSP believes the four shootings stem from one single incident and they are treating the shootings as related."

MSP detectives interviewed the victim and collected evidence of the shooting.The evidence will be sent to the MSP crime lab for comparison.

The good news is that no one was killed as a result of these shootings.

The other shootings happened on Thursday, a driver traveling on I-94 near Gratiot Ave, was wounded in the leg by a shot, while the other shootings happened shortly afterward along I-96 near the Davidson exit. Neither of the drivers in those shooting were hurt, but their vehicles were struck by bullets.

During the holiday travel time, State police said they will be increasing the number of officers on the highways as police search for suspects. What we all need to be aware of is a gray or silver sedan.
