A little history about the Zoo Boo: It's been going on for over thirty years. ZooBoo is a fun, safe and unique place for families to celebrate the Halloween season. The Zoo is asking visitors to make it a “green” Halloween and bring their own treat bag for the Trick or Treat Trail. ZooBoo features hayrides, train and carousel rides, paintball, black light mini-golf and the popular BooVille Carnival. Magicians and ventriloquists will perform on the weekend and special animal presentations will add to the Halloween excitement. The Zoo’s weather-hardy animals will be on exhibit including the snow leopard, black bears, Australian dingoes, African painted dogs and red panda.

According to the Zoo's PR Dept.: "A revamped Haunted Africa might scare those who dare! Thrill-seekers can embark on a scary safari through Wild Africa where mysterious creatures lurk. Haunted Africa is recommended for guests age 13 and up and parental supervision is suggested. Haunted Africa runs Friday and Saturday evening only, from 6:30pm to 10:30pm and requires an additional $5 fee. Please note that the African animals will not be on exhibit during Haunted Africa."

ZooBoo Hours are Wednesday-Friday 5pm to 8pm and Saturday and Sunday 1pm to 8pm. Tickets are $5.50 for Zoo members and $6.50 for non-members. The All Access Wristband allows you to get unlimited rides, 5 tickets for the BooVille Carnival and a Trick-or-Treat Trail token.
