I went to the kick-off of Island Fest, the 20th anniversary of Michigan's largest reggae festival

New time, new place, same party.  This year, Island Fest is being held at Growler's Baseball field.  Last night was the kick-off and there are tons of awesome food and drink specials.  I downed a cheeseburger and chicken on a stick and it was amazing.  I wake up super early so I wasn't able to stay for the live music :(

The music goes all day long.  Tonight, Lazo, a former member of the Wailers, will play at 10:00 p.m.  Then, Dubtonic Kru plays at midnight.  They were voted one of the top 5 bands coming out of Jamaica in 2015.

Saturday night, Pato Banton & The Now Generation will play at 10:00 p.m. Then, Zion Lion will play at midnight.
