Indiana is a state that sits in both the Eastern and Central time zones.  One state senator is trying to get the state to move  to Central time.

According to the story from WSBT,  Indiana State Senator Eric Bassler from Washington, Indiana wants the state to be all in the Central Time Zone.

He feels that Indiana is aligned with Chicago more than it is with East Coast cities like New York and Washington D.C.

He is currently working on a bill which would move the state from the two time zones to one.

Most of Indiana is the Eastern zone but much of the Northwest , near Chicago and around Evansville in the Southwest are in the Central zone.

Time differences in the state have been debated before. Could the change to one time zone work for the whole state?  Or do they keep the time zones set as they are?
