Here's an easy way to get those pesky bugs out of your space

Nothing makes you feel more unclean than seeing tiny little bugs flying around your home, especially your kitchen.

I've used this trick for YEARS and it works like a charm, every time.  I honestly couldn't tell you where I learned how to do this.  This will work for fruit flies AND gnats

What you'll need:

  • An ALMOST empty bottle of wine (red works best)
  • Saran wrap
  • Rubber band or hair tie
  • Pen, pencil or something with a sharp tip

Leave a little bit of wine in the bottom of the bottle, then wrap the saran wrap over top of the bottle neck making sure to pull it over tightly.  Then, to hold it in place, tie the rubber band around the bottle neck.  Take your pen or pencil and poke 1-3 small holes into the saran wrap.

The bugs go in but they can't get out.  I guess if I were going to go, drowning in wine would be the worst way...

Let the wine bottle sit out for a few days and you'll notice it start to work!  One last tip, pour some bleach down your kitchen sink drains.  Leave it for about 20 minutes and then rinse it with warm water.  That will get rid of any food or the scent of food.
