New Portage Indoor Cycling Studio opens with a weekend of benefit rides!
- Minimum donation $10 to book a bike online. More donations accepted day of rides!
Just Move – Fitness and More is teaming up with local indoor cycling instructor Christine Augustine to bring an indoor cycling studio to Portage. JUST RIDE is scheduled to open February 15 and is offering three benefit rides on opening weekend. All proceeds from rides on February 15, 16, and 17 will go to Open Roads Bike Program in Kalamazoo. A $10 online donation to Open Roads will get you signed up for a ride, although riders are encouraged to donate more when they show up for class. Open Roads
exists to engage and empower youth through bicycles to learn practical life skills for their future. They focus on removing barriers and providing students with tools and skills necessary to create a self-identified path towards self-sufficiency and success. Open Roads hosts a variety of youth development bike programs throughout the Kalamazoo
community year round.
JUST RIDE will be a “studio within a studio,” housed within Just Move’s existing location at 626 Romence Road, in Portage’s Hillside Center. Indoor cycling – commonly known as “spinning” – provides a fun, low-impact cardio and lower body strength workout that is appropriate for all fitness levels! The studio’s Preview rides have already filled up, so don’t miss out. Register today to ride for a great cause!
