  • HISTORY: The Do-Dah Parade was originally started in 1984 by Lori Moore, at WKMI, and in reaction to the need for more fun, innovative family programming (actually as an alternative to the Miss Skimpy Contest). Since then, the Parade has been hosted by WKFR, Downtown Kalamazoo, Inc. (DKI) and now, The Kalamazoo Experiential Learning Center.
  • CONTACT: (269) 388-2830
  • JOIN THE PARADE:  If you have a dumb idea that makes you laugh just thinking about it –then do it. DOWNLOAD DO-DAH PARADE APPLICATION. Applications will be accepted until June 3, but hurry because it is limited to the first 60.
  • BE A KING/QUEEN OF DO DAH: For only $34 you can be at the front and reign over Do-Dah Lands. And, if you have kids younger than 12 who want to join you, they are free with the only requirement being that they need to wear a super hero costume to protect the kings and queens of Do-Dah Land. Check it out at  igg.me/at/dodah.  Limited to the first 50. Why do we need kings and queens of Do-Dah Land?  Honestly, to protect the parade from financial ruin. Seriously, the parade needs to raise $5,000 to pay for the city services and various expenses of running the parade and closing down all the streets.
