This celebrity lied about escaping from the World Trade Center on 9/11 and now, after 6 years, is finally coming clean.

Comedian Stephen Rannazzisi, who plays Kevin on“ The League" has been LYING for YEARS about escaping from the World Trade Center on 9/11.  Six years ago, he was on Marc Maron's WTF podcast, and he said he was working for Merrill Lynch on the 54th floor of the second tower.  He said that when the plane hit the first tower, everyone was in a panic and despite the Port Authority telling everyone to stay calm, he ran out to the street to see what was going on, and that's when the plane hit HIS building.  He also claimed that his wife, who was his girlfriend at the time, worked in the South Tower as well, and that he thought she'd died, but she was late to work, and was still in the subway.

He went on and on for FIVE MINUTES...but pretty much all of it was a lie.  According to the "New York Times", he was in New York City at the time, but he was working in Midtown and not for Merrill Lynch, which has no record of his employment, and didn't even have offices in the World Trade Center.

The "Times" confronted Stephen, and he said, "I was not at the Trade Center on that day.  I don't know why I said this.  This was inexcusable.  I am truly, truly sorry.  It was profoundly disrespectful to those who perished and those who lost loved ones...all I can ask is for forgiveness." Buffalo Wild Wings is, "currently re-evaluating [their] relationship with Steve pending a review of all the facts."
