To celebrate its 30th birthday, Double Dare, Nickelodeon's family-friendly and often goo-soaked game show, has planned a San Diego blowout.

Double Dare, which originally ran on Nickelodeon from 1986 until 1993, will return with original host Marc Summers for a one-night-only live event at San Diego Comic-Con, according to Entertainment WeeklyOn July 22, festival-goers will have a chance to participate in the stunt, which will recreate the original format and stream live at 9:30 PM PST via The Splat’s (Nickelodeon's nostalgia effort) Facebook page. Yup, trivia and physical challenges like Down the Hatch, the Wringer, the Human Hamster Wheel are all on the table.

“Thirty years later, people still stop me on the street every day and tell me playing Double Dare is the one thing they wish they could have done growing up,” Summers told the site.

The Double Dare Comic-Con extravaganza will lead into a week-long deep dive into the show's archives on Teen Nick that'll include flashbacks to the show, coverage from Comic-Con and many episodes from Double Dare and its two eventual spinoffs, Family Double Dare and Double Dare 2000.

The revival is just the latest in a long line of Nickelodeon back-from-the-dead events. In March, Variety reported Legends of The Hidden Temple will be adapted into a live-action movie. And earlier this month, the site confirmed many original Hey Arnold! voice actors will return for a new two-hour Nickelodeon movie.
