The final season ended back in the spring at the Joe Louis Arena and the Red Wings have announced a unique item to commemorate the final season at the historic arena.

The Detroit Red Wings recently announced that they are offering melted ice vials that feature melted ice from the final season. The vial is labeled and comes with a shadowbox framed photo.

The vials are limited to 3,000 so they should go fast. It will cost you $85 dollars if you want one.   Each one sold will benefit the Detroit Red Wings Foundation.

For more information and purchase of the vial you can check out nhl.com/redwings/community/ice-vial-sale.

The Red Wings recently kicked off their preseason schedule with the first game ever at the new Little Caesars Arena set for September 23rd.    The regular season schedule begins October 5th against the Minnesota Wild.
