The Stanley Cup is the ultimate goal for anyone who plays hockey. It's also the sport's holy grail to its fans. One fan, WKFR's Dave Benson, had a chance to see the Cup for the first time during its visit to Kalamazoo.

The Stanley Cup was in Southwest Michigan in early February 2016 when the Kalamazoo Wings hosted Hockey Heritage Week. The trophy visited the WKFR studio and Dave fulfilled a lifelong dream in seeing the cup in person.

Watch the video as Dave describes the emotions of a hockey fan seeing the prize that means everything to the sport.
