A Christmas Story House Is Only A Tank Of Gas From Kalamazoo

The 1983 Holiday favorite "A Christmas Story" Is set in a fictional town called Hohman, Indiana based on the book author's hometown of Hammond, but the real house used is only a few hours from Southwest Michigan. The exterior filming of the house and even the department store, Higbee's, both inside and out, was filmed in Cleveland, Ohio.

The house is located at 3159 W. 11th St., Cleveland, OH 44109 has been fully restored and is open to the public for tours and even overnight stays! (Christmas is taken, I checked). Get more info on the house here.
