Charlie Sheen is scheduled to announce his HIV status tomorrow morning on the Today Show.

According to TMZ, "NBC touted the interview in a press release as Sheen making a "revealing personal announcement."

A tabloid report came out Monday claiming Sheen's been keeping the diagnosis secret for years."

There are many reports that some of Sheen's fromer partners are threatening him with lawsuits if he interacted with them while knowing he was HIV+.

According to sources at Entertainment Tonight, Sheen "made the heartbreaking confession" to multiple individuals, and has already begun a regimen of medication meant to counteract the effects of the disease."

It's easy to get wrapped up in the drama and Hollywood gossip aspect of this.

This is a real problem that can affect the lives of many real people.  Hopefully, the bright light of Hollywood will bring some much need awareness.
