Busy Weekend in Southwest Michigan

We covered a lot of ground this weekend for my birthday weekend. What did you this weekend?

First of all, I am accepting late birthday gifts...so don't stress out. Since my Morning Mayhem partner was taking a weekend trip to Detroit, I had an extra family member for the weekend. Her adorable dog Stella. More on Stella in a minute.

Secondly, I had a blast with my family this weekend. We started out by enjoying a movie Friday Night at Celebration Cinemas. We stocked up on buttery popcorn and Mountain Dew and watched Allegiant. The movie wasn't bad, but Divergent and Insurgent were far better.

Then on Saturday we hit Airway Lanes in Portage. You know how gentlemen always let women and kids win? Well, it was my freakin' birthday. I beat them in both games. That is what's up!

After bowling we went home to work on a family project. I'm turning my basement into a rock n roll man cave. Sorry...no pictures of that yet. You'll see that soon.

On Sunday morning I accidentally woke up VERY early. Stupid body clock.

We had our dog, Hendrix, in bed with us. Meanwhile, Stella slept with Zach. When she heard me get up I saw this under Zach's door. Hilarious.

Stella heard me wake up and wanted my attention.

After Suzannah and I took Zach back to his mom's Sunday we stopped at a Subway in Three Rivers. Did you know they have a seafood sub with crab meet on their local favorites menu? I can't wait to see what's on the local favorites menu on Gull road later today.

Full disclosure, I'm a local spokesperson for Subway. However, they're not paying me for this moment. Yum.
