A cardiac field test and healthy heart screening will be offered free of charge to runners and spectators at Kalamazoo Marathon events Saturday and Sunday.

Runners have healthy hearts...or do they? Find out with free heart health screenings from Borgess Health Care at the Kalamazoo Marathon. The screenings are free, quick and easy and offered to runners and spectators alike"

  • Saturday, May 6 from 11am- 6pm at Wings Event Center
  • Sunday, May 7 from 7am-2pm near tent city at the start/finish line of the Borgess Run for the Health of It/Kalamazoo Marathon.
  • Screening is also available after the race until Monday, May 22 by scheduling an appointment at 269-226-5220.

The Cardiac Field Test measures heart rates before and after exercise. The Healthy Heart Screening Test measures total cholesterol, HDL, HDL to total cholesterol ratio, body mass index, body composition assessment, blood pressure assessment and a random blood sugar. Borgess CorpFit professionals will administer as many tests free of charge as long as time permits.
