Unless you are a Kindergarten teacher I think most bosses would frown on this fine National Holiday.

With the time change forcing us to lose an hour of sleep, it is awesome that the following day is National Nap Day!

According to timeanddate.com...

The day was created as a way to compensate for the hour people lose because of the time change. But this is one holiday that most people can get behind.

Nationaldaycalendar.com quoted William Anthony, a Ph.D. at Boston University and the creator of National Nap Day as saying...

I chose this particular Monday because Americans are more ‘nap-ready’ than usual after losing an hour of sleep to daylight saving time.

A good argument you can give your boss for celebrating National Nap Day comes from timeanddate.com (I will be using this one)

A nap is a short period of sleep usually taken during the day. Studies have shown that one or more short naps during the day can help increase productivity and alertness.

Pretty sure that argument will not sway your boss, but it is worth a try! Yet, the good news is that the best naps last only for 10 to 20 minutes. Heck, maybe you can catch a few zzzz's under your desk and no one would notice...just a thought.

Happy Napping!
