Benson’s History of Rock on a Roll MashUp Starts NYE at 5:40PM
It started out as a 10 minute montage, made up of the #1 songs of the 1980's, as we celebrated going into 1990 with a New Years Eve party at the old Top of the Rock, on Covington Rd. Tomorrow afternoon, beginning at about 5:40. we'll honor sixty years of number one songs.

To say it's grown would be quite the understatement. This year's "History of Rock on a Roll" montage times out to over 90 minutes.
If you've never heard it, it's the hooks from all the songs to hit #1 on the charts, beginning with "Rock Around the Clock", which is generally acknowledged as the first big rock and roll hit. And then, over 90 minutes, through six decades, you'll hear every song that made it to number one.
