If your weekend plans includes hanging out at the Park this weekend, you may want to think again.

No one likes to be stung by a Bee, and we all get a tad nervous when it seems that one is targeting us, but an ingestion of yellow jackets has shut down a quarter-mile of the Linear park path in battle Creek according to WWMT.com.

"The city was first notified about the issue on Monday and crews came out to exterminate the yellow jackets on Thursday.

One person had been stung, no one was seriously hurt."

The path could open as soon as today, which would be perfect timing for the last Saturday before most kids head back to school.
