Somebody talk me down, quick!

I drove down to Indy to surprise my 12-year-old son Zach in his season-opening double header Saturday. He loves playing basketball.

In game one, I couldn't help but noticed I drove three-and-a-half hours to watch my son keep the bench warm for most of the game.

As our team was losing, and Zach was on the bench, I was getting a little out of hand. I felt myself becoming the "crazy sports dad." I almost walked down to have a conversation with the coach, which is so not who I want to be.

After losing game one, the coach put Zach in way more for game two. Zach killed it!  He scored 5 of the team's total 26 points (not to mention all of the steals and rebounds).

Oh, by the way, they won that game. I'm just sayin'!
