Starting today in Battle Creek, J. Ranck Electric will start the process of replacing the traffic signal mast arms at the Capital Avenue and Jackson Street intersection. There will be times the contractor, who will be on site, will need to close lanes. Battle Creek's website made the announcement on Friday that the crew they would have out working the job, which started this morning, is scheduled to be on site and have it completed sometime in September.

Pedestrians who take these routes regularly should also be advised that the crosswalks are expected to be down and will not be able to be used while construction is taking place, however, they will be setting up a detour while the sidewalks are unusable. Drivers in the area can expect traffic delays and should plan accordingly and use other routes.

Any other information you require can be found by contacting Darren Campbell, Civil Engineer II, (269) 966-3343.
