I am very excited about this show.

I'll be honest: Lately, TV has been boring the snot out of me. Thank God for Netflix. But after I binge-watched "House of Cards and "American Horror Stories," what's left?

I'm surprised to find myself excited about a couple new network shows. Backstrom looks hilarious, and it premieres tonight on Fox 17.

ABOUT BACKSTROM:
On Fox, from the creator of BONES, comedic crime procedural BACKSTROM centers on an unhealthy, offensive, irascible — albeit brilliant — detective (Rainn Wilson) who is brought back from exile to run the Portland Police Bureau's Special Crimes Unit (S.C.U.), according to the official trailer.

And of course there's the CBS TV show Battle Creek, which premieres at 10 p.m. Sunday, March 1!

Since I work with outdated equipment just minutes from Battle Creek, this trailer hits home. But the line "Looks like we're gonna have to do this the Battle Creek way," made me laugh til I peed a little.  Battle Creek premieres Sunday, March 1st on CBS.

ABOUT BATTLE CREEK:
Battle Creek stars Josh Duhamel (Fergie's Husband) and Dean Winters (Mayhem)  in a drama about two mismatched law enforcement officers whose polar opposite views of the world and crime-solving breed frustration, disdain, humor and possibly a grudging respect as they clean up the hardscrabble streets of Battle Creek, Mich.
