My interest in radio first started in high school where I was the night DJ every Thursday from 8 to 11PM on 89.5 WAHS at Avondale High School in Auburn Hills. After I knew that radio is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I started broadcasting school at Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts in October of 2003. After graduating I got my first real job in Tawas MI at a small country station 104.7 WKJC. After 5 months of doing weekends and filling in for the full time staff I landed my first full time job in Athens OH. I was the night DJ for Power 105.5 WXTQ. After 10 months at Power 105.5 I moved back home to Detroit to work part time On Air and Promotions at 99.5 WYCD. I spent 2 years doing weekends and overnights for WYCD until my big break came to do my own morning show in Kankakee IL. In June of 2008 I started at XCOUNTRY 106.5 WXNU in Kankakee IL. After only 3 months of mornings there I won 2 IBA Silverdome awards for best self promotion, and best small marked team. Then in September of 2009 I moved back to Michigan to do mornings with Krista Hatcher where we formed the Hatcher and Harvey on 103.3 WKFR. It is truly the happiest I have been in my radio career and thanks to KFR, I can call Kalamazoo my home!
