Customers are suing

EOS lip balm is recognizable for both its weird, spherical shape and for its heavy celebrity endorsement, but is it safe? Accodring to Refinery29.com, several customers are suing the brand, claiming the product is causing "severe rashes, bleeding, blistering, cracking, and loss of pigmentation."

Dermatologist Dr. Joshua Zeichner says that although he can't comment on the specific cases involved, the rashes could be caused by an allergic reaction. Jezebel reports that customers have also complained their EOS lip balms grow mold. An EOS company spokesperson says, "We firmly believe this lawsuit is without merit. Our products are made with the highest quality ingredients, and meet or exceed all safety and quality standards set out by our industry and validated by rigorous testing conducted by an independent lab. The health and well-being of our customers is our top priority and millions of satisfied customers use our products every day, many of whom take the time to share their experiences with us." What do you think about this lawsuit?

I've used EOS Lip Balm but I've never had rashes or anything serious.  My lips started to get worse so I kept applying and re-applying until I got tired of chapped lips.
