When they were kids, Eric Hale told his brother that if and when he ever won the lottery, he'd split it with him.

Earlier this month, Hale won the lottery and kept the promise . . .

The prize was $1 million dollars. Each brother padded his bank account by about $335,000.

I don't think anyone would've blamed Eric if he'd forgotten about the promise as a child, but it does say a lot about his integrity and character, not to mention his memory.
