A Local Beer Goes National

You can find Founder's beer in all 50 states now!

Founders, a Grand Rapids brewery is making history!  They will be the first Michigan brewery to distribute its beer to all 50 states. The brewery announced that this month they will be shipping select brews to Hawaii.

The ales that the company will be shipping off to the Islands are...

• Rubaeus
• Breakfast Stout

According to the Detroit Free Press the brewery has undergone some changes beyond their area of distribution...

Founders — which sold a 30% minority stake to Spanish brewing company Mahou San Miguel in 2014 — has been on quite a growth streak in recent years. It went from producing 193,000 barrels of beer in 2014 to a whopping 563,700 last year and surpassed the family-owned Bell's Brewery as Michigan's largest brewer by barrel production in 2017.

It has not always been an easy road for the company over the last few years, but it sure has been profitable and exciting. So the next time you are in the 50th State, enjoy a taste of Michigan!
