A Flint Woman’s Warning After Her Terrifying Experience
Last week, a Flint resident was walking to her car after work and what she did could have saved her life.
Ashley Hardacre found a t-shirt on the windshield of her car. According to The Detroit Free Press, she didn't see the flannel shirt until she got into the car but decided not to get out becuse she had heard it was a trap.
"I had seen posts lately about people finding things under their windshield wipers in the Burton/Flint area as an attempt to get girls out of their cars and distracted. Luckily I knew better than to remove the shirt with cars around me so I drove over to a place where I was safe and quickly rolled down my window and got the shirt off." Ashley Hardacre via Facebook
Ashley says she knew the shirt was planted because when she tried removing it with her windshield wipers, she noticed it was carefully wrapped around the wipers.
Let this be a warning: if you find a shirt or article of clothing on your windshield, get in the car immediately and report it to your local police.
